An Inspirational Workshop and Book Launching Event on

Sunday, February 6, 2011

12.15 pm to 5.00 pm

Held at Le Parc Banquet & Convention Facility
(in Concord, Ontario)

If you are a believer that ‘there are NO coincidences in life’ … then you need to be there! Our workshop facilitator, Rita Benacquista-Stillo, (Author, Psychospiritual Counselor/Therapist), will put a tantalizing spin on why things happen to us!! Men and women are welcome, a light luncheon will be served, and the event supports the Mosaic Interfaith 'Out of the Cold' Charity---a central organization that coordinates the 'out-of-the-cold' shelters for the homeless people in York Region.

Tickets are currently selling for $35 +HST until February 2nd—regular price, after February 2nd, will be $53 +HST.

We welcome all men and women to come out, meet the author and have her personally sign a copy. The book is an amazing story of strength, courage, and disclosure of the life of a woman who has changed the world in so many ways by sharing her innermost secrets with us. Rita reveals all…and holds nothing back in the hope that the readers will listen to her story and learn how to deal with relationships before it is too late. She certainly takes and illustrates the Gifts of Responsibility that we all have and need to take ownership of. Feelings of awe, sadness, and awareness overpower the reader as she guides us through her personal journey and fills the pages with self-help advice, tips, and real-life examples. In this interactive workshop, the author will use her innate and professional Psychotherapist skills to educate us on ‘how-to’ deal with different personality types in order to avoid ‘dis-ease’ and achieve balance in life.

Remain abundantly blessed,

Following up with prospects and clients-(Article I)

Hello all,

Over the next few days, I'll be sharing 3 great articles and testimonials respectively, on the need to effectively follow up with your prospects and clients. We live in an age where everything is only a 'google-click' away. People are inundated with too much information every single second. We are also living busier and more hectic lives. In this overcrowded market space, it is important to set your self apart from the crowd and one of the easiest ways to do this is by properly following up with people. The key principles to an effective follow up is anchored on old fashioned values of Respect and Sincerity.

Here's the first article in this series on effective follow up, by the phenomenal Ali Brown.

Remain abundantly blessed!

Your Fortune is in the Follow Up!

By Ali Brown April 26, 2010

Most business owners are good at pitching clients or reaching out to new customers. It’s the follow-up where they fall down. Why? Because they figure, “if they wanted my product, they’d finish the transaction,” or they worry that, “if I bug them too much, I’ll come off as needy.” Here’s the thing: while you’re worrying about bugging a prospective customer or telling yourself that maybe “they’re just not that into me,” someone else is following up and sealing the deal!

“No” is just a little bump on the road to “yes.”

When someone expresses interest in your business, but they aren’t quite ready to sign on the dotted line, they can often be persuaded with a polite follow up. Say you were trying to convince a local business to purchase advertising on your website. They might say, “this sounds like a good opportunity, but I’ve already used up my marketing dollars for this quarter.” By following up before the beginning of the next quarter, you could get on your contacts’ radar and get her business while she’s in the planning stages.

Here are some other follow-up methods to consider:

Ask if they’d like to be added to your ezine.
Creating an email newsletter is a great way to keep in contact with prospects and update them on new promotions or offerings. Since nobody likes getting spam, ask their permission first and include useful content in your ezine so it’s not a pure sales message. Once people expect timely and insightful information from you, they’ll become more likely to open your emails and conduct business with you.

Send useful links. If you know the prospect pretty well, you could email her sporadically when you find articles that might be useful for her business or see networking events she might like to attend. That way you’re keeping the lines of communication open without pressuring her.

Send a holiday card. The holidays are a great time to reconnect with prospects and spread seasonal cheer. But if you’re afraid your holiday card might get lost in the shuffle or you simply don’t have time to coordinate another mailing, then consider sending a card at other times of the year, perhaps a mid-summer greeting or a Labor Day card (as people return from vacation, this can be a good time to snag new business). That way you’ll become more memorable and have an excuse to connect with people outside of the regular holiday season.

Hold an event. Consider hosting a symposium on a timely topic or a free seminar on an issue that will interest potential customers. Invite prospects who were on the fence and use the opportunity to also bring in new prospects.

Follow up is key in any business, but you can also be creative and have a little fun with your strategies. The bottom line? Be persistent, but always be polite.

Outrageously overpriced products (....Sendoutcards to the rescue)!

I just came across the article below written by Amy Bell and thought I'd share it with all of you. I couldn't agree more with the list, in fact I have some other items that should also be on that list! Of particular interest to me was # 2 (Greeting cards). I wish I had Ms Bell's email address so I could write her and share the antidote to overly priced greeting cards and one of Network Marketing's best kept secret: the magic of Sendoutcards
A tool that allows you to send on-demand, customized, quality greeting cards (in your own handwriting, with personalised pictures if you so desire) at $.62cents(yes, you heard that right just 62 cents a card!) when you purchase at wholesale or $0.98cents for retail plus postage. If you wish to pay for both the card and postage (which covers USA, Canada and Australia), you can get it for a mere $2.00! Now that's pure value. Note: You even have the option of adding gifts and gift cards...think American Express, Starbucks, Top restaurants...., also the wholesale cards may be mailed to any part of the world!
I hope you enjoy the article.

Outrageously overpriced products
by Amy Bell, Investopedia
Thursday, September 2, 2010

Unless you're filthy rich, you've probably noticed that movie theatre popcorn costs an arm and a leg. Still, for some unknown reason, countless consumers shell out the big bucks for this greasy flick-food.

Of course, movie theater snacks aren't the only budget busters. Just think about the exorbitant cost of greeting cards, printer ink and bottled water. The sky-high price tags on those products are enough to send today's cash-strapped consumers spiraling into debt. Yet, we continue to cough up the cash for these absurdly expensive items.

Here are six outrageously overpriced products that consumers can't seem to live without.

# 1.Movie theatre popcorn

At the grocery store, microwave popcorn runs about $3 per box, and each box includes three 3.5 ounce bags. So why on earth would consumers even consider paying a whopping $6 for a single medium-sized bag of popcorn in the movie theatre? No one knows exactly why - but for some bizarre reason, movie-goers continue to drain their wallets to crunch on a bag full of those greasy little nuggets during their favorite film.
After considering that movie theatres purchase popcorn in bulk, the average markup of movie theater popcorn is a whopping 1,275 per cent! At that steep price, you'd think those buttery bags were laced with gold.

# 2.Greeting cards

Since when does a folded up piece of paper cost $2.99? Since someone slaps a precious kitty picture and a cleverly written message on it and then stamps the back of it with a well-known logo. That's right - we're talking about those pricey greeting cards. Many consumers spend hours poring over the neatly arranged stacks in the greeting card aisle, searching for the perfect message for their sister's birthday, their parent's anniversary or "Just Because."
The average greeting card costs between $2 and $4, and we consumers don't seem to think twice about paying that precipitous price. The markup is between 100 and 200 per cent - which is not quite as shocking as movie theatre popcorn, but it adds up quickly. When you consider how many of those paper jewels you buy each year, it's enough to send you running for the construction paper and markers. After all, it only costs a few cents to create a home-made card.

# 3.College textbooks

As if college kids (and their parents) aren't financially drained enough, there's yet another inflated price they face: college textbooks. College students pay an average of $900 a year on textbooks and other supplies.
College textbook prices have skyrocketed by 186 per cent since 1986, and these expensive volumes of knowledge now account for 26 per cent of the overall cost of college. Unfortunately, broke college students are required to purchase these costly books for their classes. At least they can try to sell their books back to local book store at the end of the semester - for a few measly bucks.

# 4. Bottled water

You've probably heard that "Evian" is simply "naive" spelled backwards. OK, so the well-known company probably did not choose their name for that reason - but many people believe that consumers who buy bottled water are certainly naive. After all, water is one of the most abundant resources in the world and is available for free from countless water fountains and sinks across the nation. Yet, many consumers are still willing to pay $3 a bottle for it.
In 2009, the U.S. Congress revealed that about 45 per cent of bottled water comes from municipal taps - and then the bottled water company may or may not do some additional filtering before pouring it in their logo-stamped bottles. Still, Americans continue to buy more than 500 million bottles every week, making it the second most popular purchased drink.

# 4. Printer ink

You may be able to buy a surprisingly affordable printer at your local office supply store, but don't start celebrating just yet. The printer companies make their biggest bucks on ink.
Over the life of your printer, you'll probably pay more than 500 per cent of the total price of the printer itself on ink refill cartridges. At $30, a 42ml cartridge of black printer ink comes out to 71 cents per ml. On the other hand, the Red Cross charges $200 for 500 ml of blood, which comes out to about 40 cents per ml.

# 5. Brand-name fashions

How much did you pay for those True Religion jeans, that Burberry scarf and those towering Louboutin stilettos? Probably a small fortune. But it was worth every penny, right? Not so much. When it comes to designer clothes, it's pretty obvious that you are paying for the label.
As a matter of fact, brand-name clothes are often marked up by 500 to 1,000 per cent. Yet, fashion-conscious consumers continue to drain their bank accounts and pile up massive amounts of debt to stay on the cutting edge of couture.

Broke consumers are saying no

The recession has hit many households hard, and thousands of broke consumers are passing on these and other overpriced products. So, does that mean the inflated prices of these items will eventually fall? Only time will tell. In the meantime, you may want to check your bank account before you hit the movie theatre snack bar.

Why SendOutCards???

" I learned to say thank you when people were unkind. Thank you doesn't mean agreement. It means that the message has been heard and that you appreciate having the information."
-Kathy Ireland, Model-Entrepreneur

Why Send Out Cards? (Source: http://followupfairy.com)

Send out cards is a great way to send an occasional card (with a gift if you choose too) or many cards. There's no membership fee or sign on requirement. Just select the card and gift you want and then buy your card (with points) and pay your normal USPS postage cost and your card is sent off and tracked. This is great for the postally challenged, I personally hate physically mailing things.

You can also purchase blocks of points that are held in your account until you use them. Points are purchase in $10 min amounts with each point = $.49. A post card is 1 point, regular card is 2 points and trifold card is 3 points. So you can see the cards are VERY affordable and much cheaper than anything you were to try and mail yourself. You can choose from THOUSANDS of card templates as well as make your own from scratch.

You can easily send beautiful postcards, cards and trifolds to anyone in the world with one click of a mouse.

Imagine the possibilities!!!

* batch mailing all your clients in a few seconds
* sending all your family a cute holiday card with your picture on it
* only paying 49 cents for a post card or 98 cents for a card! (plus regular postage)
* importing your spreadsheet or .csv files and not having to do any more data entry
* having the sendoutcards contact management system remind you of birthdays and anniversaries or any date you set in the system
* setting dates in advance to auto send cards – this is great for reorder reminders, special dates or even just a quarterly contact
* being able to add notes to your contacts file (a very useful FREE sales database)
* being able to connect children, spouses and other family members together
* being able to connect large groups with one click batch mailing
* auto insertion of the recipients names in batch mailing
* adding your logos or photos of choice inside or on the front
* creating a saved card campaign to send and resend anytime you'd like (generic thank you for ordering card, welcome to my team card, I appreciate your referral, here's a coupon...)
* add gifts or gift cards to any card being mailed
* mail to any local or international location and receive free tracking and insurance/ delivery guarantee
* mail cards while abroad and still only pay USA rates since its mailed from the USA ( you can still upload a picture of you on that fancy South American beach in a tini bikini if you'd like :)

Wholesale member benefits:

* Uploading your own handwriting font
* Able to add photos to cards
* reduced card point cost (just 31 cents per point)
* ability to earn an extra $income through referrals
and much more just ask!

This service is very versatile and is less expensive than printing and mailing yourself, using vista print and most other mailing services. You click to send and my company prints, stuffs, stamps, and mails for you!

Tips from successful womEntrepreneurs.

Over the past few years, I've had a chance to interact and learn some valuable insights from successful womEntrepreneurs. I interviewed 20 womEntreprenurs and asked for the key reasons or secrets to their success. They all seem to have certain traits and habits in common. Some of these commonalities are listed below:

1. WomEntrepreneurs creatively solve problems or provide excellent solutions for people at a profit/for a pay. People derive a value/benefit from them;
2. They know exactly what their time is worth and use their time with respect and focus;
3. They all have an absolute belief in what they do and are clear on the fact that belief and doubt cannot co-exist side by side;
4. They are fired up about life and work/business because they understand that enthusiasm makes a huge difference. In their world there is no room for 'lukewarm'-to be neither hot nor cold;
5. They understand the power of consistency because 'practice makes permanent' and they never quit because they see the big picture;
6. They take time to develop their mentoring and coaching skills because a leader is only as good as her followers;
7 They understand that success at ANYTHING is a numbers game-'double digits of activities a day, keeps the commission checks on their way';
8. They surround themselves with people who are better, smarter, wealthier and more spiritually centered than they are,because they understand that your financial and life genotype is a perfect hybrid of 5 people closest to you;
9. They reward/pay themselves each month; they respect their dreams and hard work and so are willing to put themselves in the equation-they know that in being whole they are better equipped to share their blessings with others;
10. They practice Self-Accountability because they know the most important product in their inventory is 'Integrity' and so always conduct all matters ethically and morally;
11. They treat all clients as if they were about to lose them;
12.They have mastered the art of true communication-an ability to connect heart-to-heart, soul-to-soul, mission-to-mission with another human being;
13. They know that synergy creates energy and so work collaboratively with appropriate teams to get things done;
14.They have mastered the art of transitioning from mere 'selling' to 'positioning';
15. They understand that they are co-creators of their own destiny and never play the blame game;
16. They have a clarity of thought on the fact that attitude changes everything and even if you can't control your family/work/business environment, you CAN control your attitude;
17. They have a plan; it may be incomplete but it exists and they are flexible enough to adapt it as the variables in life change;
18. They are in touch with their purpose and will go the distance to achieve it;
19. They live fulfilling and balanced lives and devote a huge part of their lives on building relationships and empowering others;
20. WomEntreprenurs love God-they lovingly and willingly use their skills and assets to bring people closer to the creator.

So, are you ready to stop living on the fence and take that leap to become your own success story?

Remain abundantly blessed!

The Awakening

Hello all,
A very 'Happy Canada Day'! to all my fellow Canucks. I got the following inspirational piece from a really great friend and sister and I thought I'd share.  This piece encapsulates the moment of truth for everyone in general, and for women in particular. I'd like to refer to it as the journey of 'arriving at your own doorstep'; 'a true awakening of self'....If you are already in the 'zone' or 'realm' of awakening, welcome to a beautiful and serene place and if you're still on that path, be brave for there's beauty on the other side. Enjoy and be inspired!

The Awakening
Author Unknown
June 24, 2010

A time comes in your life when you finally get it...when, in the midst
of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and
somewhere the voice inside your head cries out - ENOUGH!

Enough of the fighting and crying or struggling to hold on. And, like a child
quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you
shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the
world through new eyes.

This is your awakening.

You realize it's time to stop hoping and waiting for something to
change...or for happiness, safety and security to come galloping over
the next horizon.
You come to terms with the fact that neither of you is Prince Charming
or Cinderella and that in the real world there aren't always fairy tale
endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of "happily
ever after" must begin with you...and in the process a sense of serenity is
born of acceptance.
You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone
will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are ... and
that's OK. They are entitled to their own views and opinions.

And you learn the importance of loving and championing yourself...and
in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval.

You stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did
to you (or didn't do for you) and you learn that the only thing you can
really count on is the unexpected.

You learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what
they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and that it's not
always about you.

So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself...and
in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self-reliance.

You stop judging and pointing fingers and you begin to accept people
as they are and to overlook their shortcomings and human frailties…
And in the process a sense of peace and contentment is born of forgiveness.
You realize that much of the way you view yourself, and the world
around you, is as a result of all the messages and opinions that have been
ingrained into your psyche.

And you begin to sift through all the junk you've been fed about how
you should behave, how you should look, how much you should weigh, what
you should wear, what you should do for a living, how much money you
should make, what you should drive, how and where you should live, who you
should marry, the importance of having and raising children, and what you owe
your parents, family, and friends.

You learn to open up to new worlds and different points of view.

And you begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you
really stand for. You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to
discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have
bought into to begin with ... and in the process you learn to go with
your instincts. You learn that it is truly in giving that we receive.
And that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you
stop maneuvering through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next
fix.

You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the
outdated ideals of a bygone era but the mortar that holds together the
foundation upon which you must build a life.
You learn that you don't know everything, it's not your job to save the world and that you can't teach a pig to sing. You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO.

You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry
and that martyrs get burned at the stake. Then you learn about love.  How to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving and when to walk away. You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be. You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes.

And you learn that alone does not mean lonely.
You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside,
smoothing things over and ignoring your needs.

You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK....and that it
is your right to want things and to ask for the things you want ... and
that sometimes it is necessary to make demands.

You come to the realization that you deserve to be treated with love,
kindness, sensitivity and respect and you won't settle for less.
And you learn that your body really is your temple.
And you begin to care for it and treat it with respect.
You begin to eat a balanced diet, drink more water, and take more time
to exercise.

You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so
you take more time to rest.
And, just as food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul.
So you take more time to laugh and to play.

You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you believe
you deserve...and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for and that
wishing for something to happen is different than working toward
making it happen.

More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need
direction, discipline and perseverance.
You also learn that no one can do it all alone...and that it's OK to
risk asking for help.

You learn the only thing you must truly fear is the greatest robber
baron of all: FEAR itself.
You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know
that whatever happens you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give
away the right to live life on your own terms.

And you learn to fight for your life and not to squander it living
under a cloud of impending doom.

You learn that life isn't always fair, you don't always get what you
think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good
people. On these occasions you learn not to personalize things.
You learn that God isn't punishing you or failing to answer your
prayers. It's just life happening.

And you learn to deal with evil in its most primal state - the ego.
You learn that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment
must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you
and poison the universe that surrounds you.

You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of
walls. You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple
things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can
only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm
bed, along hot shower.

Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and
you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever
settle for less than your heart's desire.
And you hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the
wind. And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay
open to every wonderful possibility.

Finally, with courage in your heart and God by your side you take a
stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to
live as best you can.
Remain abundantly blessed!

Relationship Marketing at its very best!

I've been a Network marketing professional for almost 9 years now. I've been really successful at it for the past four years. I know a thing or two about 'opportunities'. I also know a bit about fusing passion and work. A wise man once told me that once you find a way to earn a living from your passion, you no longer have to work rather you are simply 'making a living out of living and giving'. In November of 2008, I stumbled upon a unique service through an email from the office of my college alumni president. I initially thought it was a cool tool and used it for the next 7 months to keep in touch and follow up with my clients in my Wealth Management Practice.

It wasn't until September of 2009 that I finally got 'IT'. The economy had tanked, stocks had plunged...business was flat and somewhat boring. Acting on a random prompting (you'll hear me use the word 'prompting' often from now on), I got on a plane and headed to Salt Lake City,Utah. Something really magical happened and I'll save that life-changing story for another day. The key highlights of that experience: a wonderful, sincere transformational leader (coolest CEO you ever met, and I mean cool as a cat!), myself, my mom and room full of at least 1500 people!!!

Fast forward to June 2010. This company has now allowed me to make a great  living by touching lives and empowering others; it has blessed me by opening me up to the the truth that we are all universally connected and can only succeed by helping each other; I am helping fellow women- from savvy Entrepreneurs to stay-at-home moms, to reach out in love and kindness to others and earn a true living by giving; providing value and solutions to challenges of others; it has also taught me how to build a strong community of like-minded professionals who are committed to conducting business ethically and meaningfully.
This to me is Relationship marketing at its best! This is Network marketing at its best! It doesn't matter what opportunity or business you are involved in. It may be Avon, Arbonne, Mary Kay, Scentsy....,  I believe everyone should start off with the right mindset and this company is the foundation upon which you can build success for other opportunities. Like I said earlier, I know a thing or two about successful Network marketing; no matter what anyone tells you, you need at least 12 to 18 months to have true success with any company (by true success, I mean when you can actually quit your day job and fully replace and/or exceed your income!) However, for that initial period of 12 to 18 months, you must rewire your mind to understand the concept of 'Giving to Give' and not 'Giving to Get' while also remaining consistent in sharing (not selling) your products/services/opportunities. You, of course, must also have an endless stream of leads/prospects (offline and online). 95% of those who fail in business never mastered these laws and the 5% who succeed simply live it daily-it has become part of their DNA.
Trust me: 'Appreciation wins over self promotion, every time'! and the most important word in 'Network Marketing' is 'Marketing'!

This is the company that's stolen my heart and I'll refer their service/opportunity even if I never make a dime doing so. How many people can say that about their businesses or work places?

Grandma's common sense talk for the listening soul!

I think there's something divine about age that makes most older folks wiser with age. I guess the fact that they've been privileged to experience so many things in life helps too.
My grandma is one of such lucky pearls. Others are my mom and mother-in-law but I'll focus on gran today. After reading hundreds of personal development books(I must confess, that part of my library is overflowing... I'm currently developing my Historical Romance section but that's a story for another day!) Back to grandma. I just realized that most of the 'original content' I've been excited to discover in most of these magazines always seemed familiar. You know, that deja vu feeling like you've heard this before??. Well, it hit me that I've indeed heard them before and the source was sweet o' grandma.
She sprouts common sense talk like MI and it all rings true even till today. One of her favorite sayings was:

"Live your life by being honest to yourself and others...you don't have to please others, all you owe them is respect. The only persons you should aim to please are God and yourself and the truth is both are very easy to please cos they both love you regardless...".

Honesty to oneself involves pursuing your passions, being accountable for your actions (and in-actions) and doing the best you can everyday, in every situation.
Honesty to others just means simply treating them with integrity...always. Respect on the other hand entails living in pure awareness so that your words, thoughts, actions and in-actions (the energy you radiate) always gives dignity rather than stripping people of dignity. It does not matter if they're right or wrong, it does not matter if they're old or young....
To love God, you must first learn to love yourself. To love oneself is to know and accept YOU for YOU. Have a date with yourself; have an in depth conversation with your younger and older selves (you'll be surprised at new discoveries). Know your strength, acknowledge your weaknesses, uncover the opportunities before you and be conscious of the pitfalls you face. Be in communion with your core. Have faith in the completeness that God has molded you perfectly in his eyes. Always see yourself through the creator's eyes. Every other view is jaundiced and a poor representation and incomplete vision of your majesty! Reconnect with the lost child within so that you can find and become the adult of your dreams.
Live wisely. Live passionately. Live beautifully!

Be abundantly blessed!

Wishing You All A New Year filled with Abundance, Attraction & Agape Love!

Hello again! Happiest of New Years to everyone reading this. There is a reason it is called a 'NEW' Year. It is time to start anew and leave the old things in the past where they belong. Here's my prayer for you:  May 2010 be filled with an abundance of love. May God's love-the Agape kind, be all around you and guide you on his path for the whole year and beyond! May you allow yourselves to willingly give and receive love. May you have excellent health and vigour to pursue your passions without fear or limitations. May you be the commander of your life under God's direction. May you live passionately, purely and positively!

May you unleash the abundance that is within you....A lone small bud waiting to be planted and watered by your decision to start living in the light. May you attract what you are. You ARE what you feel and say and act, consistently and passionately. Above and beyond all, YOU are a child of God! You have the power to change your destiny. God blesses your passions and purpose because he put that in you. He made you for that purpose. His wish for you is that you drown the noise and pursue with singular devotion, the purpose for which you were made. Let go of the anger, the hurts, the pains, the angst, the anxiety....YOU have the power of choice, choose to let them all go. Your mind will try to make you hang on to them because it is a comfortable place to be. Acknowledge your mind's point of view, say 'thank you' and ACT according to what you truly, really want.

Stop the blame game. It never did any good in the past, it won't do any good now. What you settled for in life based on your feelings of fear and pain is crippling the creative room for great things in your life. Try something new. Try acting inspite of your fear, try smiling instead of frowning, try acceptance instead of judgement, try faith instead of despair, try gratitude instead of complaints, try taking a vacation without actually travelling, try getting to know YOU; try actually having your own opinion; try respecting other people's opinion; try loving solitude; try doing absolutely nothing; try falling in love with yourself; try basking in the sunlight, try playing in the snow, try dancing in the rain....try, try, try, please try something new!

Live passionately and you will find your destiny! Your passion is your destiny.
Live purely and you will become one with the message! Your message is your purpose.
Live positively and you will ignite the fire that burns silently in others. Your positivity is your magnet.
Imagine for a moment that you had no constraints....what would your life be like? That, my sisters and brothers, is the life you should start living. Constraints are the lies your mind tells your spirit to protect the capacity of the mind.

You are greater than your mind. There is a dimension to you that is untouchable, unquenchable, unstoppable. That dimension is the God-created part of you. Do not let the world tell you any different. Life should not be a weary, wasteful sojourn. Life is an exciting, passionate, fulfilling adventure! Start living your life, period! Not your parents', childrens', siblings', spouses',  pastors', society's ....versions of YOUR life. We are now caught up in a quagmire of expectations, immitations, copycatisms and blind followerships...seek God's version of your life and all else will fall in place. Be a leader. Lead yourself now! Lead yourself first! Lead yourself well! Light your fire and the whole world becomes illuminated by your light!

Resolutions are things, goals, aspirations you hope to achieve. That is how the mind works. It hopes, it dreams, it aspires ....and then it finds reasons, excuses and limitations that stops those aspirations from happening.  In the dimension of Agape, YOU are one with God and so YOU simply ARE! Just as God's state is ' I AM' so is your state. Your past, present, future...IS. So, resolutions are replaced by 'I AM' statements. The beauty of the 'I AM' is that you already ARE! So, you are always constantly in the awareness of being. You are always living in the NOW. Embrace the awesome being trapped within. This is the year for being YOU!

I no longer do New Year's Resolutions. Rather, I restate, revise and rewrite my I AM statements and I always remember that the beauty of the 'I AM' is that I already AM.
